Who says chivalry is dead? At Saturday’s baseball game between the Toronto Blue Jays and the Texas Rangers, a young boy (in the gray Nike shirt) used his glove to catch a foul ball tossed to him by Luis Rivera.
Next, the little loverman turned and handed the ball to one of three pretty, ahem, “older” ladies sitting behind him – delighting everyone in the stands, on TV, and eventually on ESPN’s “Sports Center.”
You might notice in the video below the kid’s clever bait-and-switch. The ball he gives away is actually one he already had! Whether he caught the ball earlier or brought it along just in case such a situation arose, we’ll never know. But we tips our caps to him for his swagger. Look out, ladies, in a few more years, he will be dating.
And just like the boy’s Rivera ball, he’s a keeper!
